This class teaches students the best way to make pegs for timber frames that are hand-made and ‘riven’ from straight, hardwood rounds. Students will also learn to cut tenons and mortises to build a variety of sturdy sawhorses that are capable of supporting large beams at the correct height for cutting joinery.Cancellation Policy:In case of cancellation, your $300 deposit is non-refundable. Full refund available if cancellation occurs one month before the start of the program. Within a month of the program starting, the entire tuition fee will be forfeited.

If you're traveling from afar and would like to add an additional night's stay, please feel free to book an extra night.  A light breakfast is included.

Additional Night's Stay

If you're arriving via a plane, train or bus, then Albany will be your destination. We will happily pick you up at either place. Pick-up Times in Albany - between 2:00-3:00pm.Drop-off Times in Albany - between 2:00-3:00pm.

This option includes all meals, but no lodging, plus you save $25 when you pay in full.

About this trip

Our son had a wonderful time at the Timber Framing camp. He cannot wait to return next summer.

Timber Frame Retreat for Teens

Hawk Circle is beautifuly tended. It was scorchingly hot and muggy but the cabins remained cool in the shade and the beds were comfortable. 

Moon Dance/Cabin Rental

Spring Equinox at Hawk Circle was amazing, as always. Nestled in beautiful, nurtured nature, the experience of being there in circle, with sisters, was transcendent. I’ll go back again and again.
